From first look, touch and impression we all can conclude that GAD Footsie is perfectly designed for perch and zander fishing. New one/two coloring system make an excellent color palette which really makes you hesitant and provide many top colors for all types of rivers and lakes. Gad Footsie - New GAD Jets lure!

Curved head finishing also made perfect fit on worm or jig head. Also, there is a tail action which with rolling make a pefect provoking action. Also, new is 3D Deep Dot Desing. So, surface is not smooth, its covered with different size dots which reflect light on different angles which also make lure more attractive.

Soft plastic cold-water fishing tips

Here, i will try to give some field features and some 'how to use it in best way' tips. Well, autumn is perfect for perch and zander fishing. Recently i had few perch fishing trips. Those perches or bandits, how i like to call them, are very interesting and very enigmatic fish for which there is no 'rule' that cant be applied more times. Sure, thats the reason why we love fishing them – always a challenge.

Lake where the perches are biggest here in Croatia is one of the biggest and sure of the deepest, Kruščica lake. Perch like deep water and at least here in Croatia, they are biggest in deep waters. So fishing at 10-15-20 even 25 meters is normal here. Autumn is time when small fishes are going into the depths and prepare for winter time, searching for warmer places like underwater well or spring. So, in translate, that means that they gathering in big shoal of fish. Sure, predators like perch use that movements for easy feeding and also preparing for winter time and spawning. Easy meal make them very active and agressive.

"Loud soft plastic lure"

GAD Footsie then came as perfect lure. Very provocative 'loud' action surely make them even more agressive and dont give them time for rethinking. Sure, they are now at lower half of water, still hunting around and change positions. Thats the reason why i choose and have great results on Carolina and Texas rigs. Footsie have very provocative action when tracking tungsten or lead bullet head. With it we change different depths near bottom and speed of lure movements. It is crucial for good fishing.

Perch can be very careful and tricky. Size of bullet lead choose by depht. Important is to have right contact with lure. I use 5 or 7 gr in dephts up to 15m. Also, on this rigging type, we can use glass beads between lead and hook. Will provide rattling and make system even more effective.

Deep water fishing tackle selection

Catching on those depths with systems like this one, requires light and sensitive tackle but also strong enought for bigger, very combative perches. Recommendation is sensitive and powerful Pontoon21 Detonada 4,0-18,0gr 213cm. This rod have all you need. Lenght is perfect for boat fishing, have an excellent sensitive top action and enought strenght for even suddenly pike catch.

Also, very important is braid. Braid shoud be thin, that will give better contact with bait and surely you will spare time on dropping lure to bottom. In this case I use Extreama and Exteer braided lines 0,11-0,14mm.  Sure, make leader with Pontoon21 SFC or UFC Marxman Flurocarbon line at least 0,16 mm thick.

'Where to catch?' is most important question. Locating their catch, small fish, is crucial. They are surely nearby. If lake have similar depth try to search on deepest places, there is sure warmer water temperature which will attract fishes. If depht is very changeable try to locate them on sandbars, in transition of rocks and mud and similar. Don't forget that they are hunters and they dont affraid of anything so as i wrote, searching for they prey will lead you to them.

Don't be suspecious about lure size in this time. Lure's in size 3,0 3,5 and 4,0 inches are perfect now. Bigger lure will bring you bigger perch. 35+ cm perches have huge mouth and huge apetite. They will not be 'disturbed' by 1,5 or 2,0 inches lure's.
